This charming boxed sugar bowl and creamer set, part of our Deja Vu collection, is hallmarked Birmingham 1914 and crafted by Harrison & Hipwood, a Birmingham silversmithing firm registered in 1904 known for producing quality bowls, tazzas, trophy cups and other fine silverware through the early 20th century. The pair carries the characteristic bell-shaped body typical of Edwardian silver, with a wavy, lobed rim that flares gently outward and adds a soft, decorative movement to an otherwise clean silhouette.
Both pieces rest on four sturdy bun feet, a rounded, bulbous foot style that lends a sense of solidity and traditional charm often favoured on Edwardian tableware. The creamer is fitted with a neat scroll handle for easy pouring, while the sugar bowl mirrors its shape and detailing for a cohesive pairing at the table.
Presented in the fitted case with velvet lining and a satin-lined lid, the set retains a lovely sense of provenance and completeness rarely found together after more than a century.
