What makes them truly extraordinary is their origin — these earrings are a masterful example of Victorian-era repurposing, assembled by a skilled hand from various pieces of similar period jewellery into a single, cohesive and entirely wearable pair. Long before the term "upcycling" existed, Victorian jewellers and their discerning clients thought nothing of reimagining heirloom pieces to suit changing fashions — and the result here is a composition of remarkable character.

Each earring descends gracefully from a fine 14ct rose gold hook wire, suspending a trefoil cluster of deep blue sapphires, set in warm gold collets that frame each stone beautifully. Below, the drop transitions into sterling silver — a hallmark of late Victorian jewellery's characteristic two-tone construction — where a diamond-set tapering pennant form takes centre stage. Old mine-cut diamonds, arranged in ascending size toward the apex, catch the light with the soft, romantic fire characteristic of antique-cut stones. A small horizontal diamond-set bar interrupts the descent before a final diamond element leads the eye downward to the most feminine of finishes: a lustrous, creamy natural pearl drop that sways gently with every movement.
