Beautifully crafted in warm 9ct rose gold, this Victorian pendant dates back to 1864 and takes the form of a shield, an emblem historically used to signify identity, honour, and belonging. A stylised golden fleur-de-lis rests at the centre of the shield against a deep black enamel background, its raised, sculptural form catching the light beautifully against the dark enamel base.
