This Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold Greenstone & Pearl Heart Pendant is a lovely piece of early New Zealand jewellery from the 1900s, combining a polished greenstone heart with a delicate gold and seed pearl accent inspired by the Southern Cross. It's a charming example of local sentimental jewellery from the period, blending native materials with a distinctly New Zealand motif.

The pendant's body is a smooth, softly heart-shaped slice of greenstone, its deep olive-green tone glowing gently where light passes through the thinner edges. Sitting across the upper portion of the heart is a small gold Southern Cross motif, its points each tipped with a tiny seed pearl, echoing the star constellation that has long held symbolic meaning in New Zealand jewellery design.
