"This brooch carries a secret. Nestled at the back - carefully preserved across more than a century - is a dried four-leaf clover. Whether placed there by the maker, the first owner, or someone in between, we cannot say. But the gesture is unmistakably human, a private charm enclosed in gold, kept close to the heart.
The brooch itself is a beautiful example of Victorian sentiment jewellery. A rich oval amethyst sits at the centre, surrounded by seed pearls on a ground of 18ct yellow gold, with gilt floral work that frames the whole composition. It comes with its original box. This is a piece that has been loved - deeply, privately, and with intention.
